Term definitions
Aperture - A space through which light passes in an optical or photographic instrument, esp. the variable opening by which light enters a camera.
Depth of field - The distance between the nearest and the furthest objects that give an image judged to be in focus in a camera.
Exposure - the amount of light allowed to fall on each area unit of a photographic medium during the process of taking a photograph.
Framing - a technique used to project an image so as to completely focus a viewer's attention on the subject.
Composition - the way in which the different parts that make up a photograph or picture are arranged.
