Concept description of approach

Intent to achieve a series of photography's that show creative and digital media using different methods and ways, such as looking at how the digital has changed from years ago to now throughout sheffield. Also looking at how sheffield can be creative without anything digital for example inspirational art work. I also want to show the digital behind the creative for example have a sculpture designed in sheffield nut overlay it with digital theme. and the other way around to show the creative behind the digital. I am going to use different settings around sheffield that have been effected by the digital and creative era we are in.

Annotation

CAMERA MODE: The camera mode is the P in the top left and side of the image. The camera mode effects all the settings in the camera, to make it best in the type of photography that you choose for example the settings on a camera would be different if you was doing close up macro photography and then landscape photography.

SHUTTER SPEED: The shutter speed is the 1/125 that you see in this image. the shutter speed is the nominal time for which a shutter is open at a given setting.

APERTURE: the aperture is the F5.6 that you see in the image. The aperture controls the photographic lens and can be adjusted to control the amount of light reaching the film or image sensor.

ISO SETTING: the ISO setting is the ISO 100 that you see the image. the ISO measures the sensitivity of the image sensor. The same principles apply as in film photography.

WHITE BALANCE: the white balance is the +/-0 part of the image. It defines what the color white looks like in specific lighting conditions, which also affects the hue of all other colors.

FILE SIZE: the file size is the part that you can see with a shape then a L next to it in the bottom right hand corner. File size measures the size of a computer file. Typically it is measured in bytes with a prefix. or in this case measures how big the photo is in bytes.

photo analysis

Leading lines

The Leading lines are the left and right side of the road leading all the way down to the end, where the horizon makes the ground meet the sky. It makes you want to drive straight down the road.
It makes you think that the road is endless and could keep going. When i look at this picture i see that the road goes on until the point where it looks like the sky meets the road. This is very effective towards the audience because it could make someone look twice at the illusion you see.

The wide angle photography style is used in this image to show that the buildings are large and important it is to make the person looking at the photo feel as if they are there and are alone and so small in the big world.

He has also taken portrait of  Harold Pinter and Tim Robins. He has taken band portraits of 65 days of static. He has used wide angle lenses as well as portrait and also uses lights and reflectors to get a shadow effect on parts of the face in portraits such as the photograph of David Finch with a cigarette. When he takes photographs he tries to frame the subject with the background they are in and he pays a lot of attention the that aspect of the photograph. He also is not that interested in the cameras he uses because he believes that the photograph depends on him not the camera. He does a lot of research to get the right location for his photo shoots and has used different settings, for example satellite dishes, farms, woods and country side.
