Photos
City Lights
Original.
Photoshop
For this picture i have not edited it a lot, all i have done is got rid of the white van by the cheese grater which was ruining the photo. I used the healing tool to blend the background of the car park on top of the white van to make it look like it was never there. I dont think it needs anything else doing to it but the contrast could be increased a little bit to make the blue lights stand out and frame the cheese grater car park.Framing The Fountain
Original
Photoshop
With this photo i have changed the contrast of the photo making the fountains look like they are giving off light, that also attracts the audience to the centre of the photo. i have also used the effect of leading lines down the middle of the photo leading to the fountains. I have also used warp effect to make it look like there was graffiti sprayed on the floor. I did this to show they creative and digital side of sheffield.Sheffield's Colour
Original
Photoshop
In this photo i have turned everything black and white to represent the creativity in children in Sheffield, that painting was done by a child in Sheffield and i think that this is important in this photo because of the different colours in one small place and everything black and white. I think that this effect works because it shows that out of everyone being normal and black and white, there is that one person that is different and creative.
Children's Reflection
Original
Photoshop
In this photo i have used the child's painting but have put in on the silver balls in the peace gardens to give effect of a reflection. I think it shows how the architecture of sheffield is creative and i have also used photoshop to edit a creative image painting to show the digital side of the photo. The Town Ball
Original
Photoshop
On this photo i have done a similar effect of the town hall in the reflection of the silver ball, i have done this to show the modern architecture against the old architecture of sheffield. I think that this represents the creativeness behind sheffield.Graffiti Gardens
Original
Photoshop
In this photo i have kept in the theme of creativeness with the graffiti onto the architecture of sheffield. I have also used the feature of warping the graffiti onto the silver balls to keep in theme of my other photos. I think that this photo is set out well because there is 3 individual silver balls that are colourful from the graffiti and everything else is sort of similar so i think it looks creative through independence.Leading The Way
Original
This is my original photo, I don't think I need to edit this photo, because I have used the effect of leading lines down the path which could represent creative feature to the photo. I have placed the camera at a angle so you can see the old Sheffield architecture framed by the new architecture in Sheffield. I have also increased the contrast and decreased the brightness so it attracts the attention of that audience to the light of the end of the path and the old architecture in the background. The Grater Part Of Sheffield
The only thing i did to this picture is change the contrast and brighten to make the shadows darker and blue lights stand out more. I think that the blue lights against the modern architecture of sheffield. i also like the bright side of the building against the dark side because the light side is one colour but on the dark side you can see colours coming out for example red, orange, yellow and green.
Following The Fountain
Original
Photoshop
For this photo i have used the leading lines again to lead the audience to the centre of the picture, i have again used the black and white effect to show the theme of independence and being unique when you are creative.Watching The Water
Original
Photoshop
For this picture i have put the model on the rule of thirds so you notice her but i have put her to scale against the fountain to make her look small, I think this shows that it is hard for one person to get into the creative and digital industry, again i have used the black and white effect to show the individuality in one person being creative.Saturday, 14 December 2013

Concept Description
In my photoshoots I have chosen to focus on sheffield in the night because when it is all light up, it shows the creativeness behind sheffield. It draws our attention to the design of the architecture around sheffield due to the light. I have captured examples of this with the fountains in the peace gardens and the statues around the winter gardens and the lycium theatre.
For my photos i have used a canon 600d with a standard lens i have used different of angles for my pictures for example a long shot with leading lines and the rule of thirds i have also used others for example low angle shots and different styles of photography for example urban landscape, portrait and close ups.
